Circular Veil
This is the circular veil I made. I used liquid-metal-looking fabric I found in Montreal. It's silver on one side and black on the other, and looks positively mercurial when I dance with it. Circular veils much drama to dance, and if you have a circle skirt on as well, you can really do the whirling dervish style dance to great effect!
Fortunately, circular veils are very simple to make. Basically, you follow the directions for a circular skirt without the elastic. (Make sure you end up with just one piece of fabric: you don't want the front-piece from the skirt flapping off your veil. That would look just plain silly.) Even 2/3 of a circle is sufficient.
Choose a fabric with nice movement. I think chiffon would be too light for this, unless you add a trim to the circular edge.
In addition, make sure you hem the part of the veil you'll be hanging on to. It will be going through a lot of stress, and you don't want it to run or tear.
