Hossam Ramzy
Ahlamy. "This is one of Hossam Ramzy's best recordings. The music is typical Mid-Eastern rhythms with the melody carried by a mellow saxophone. The music drives the hips to move; the torso to undulate and the arms to flow in expression with deep feeling!"
Best of Abdul Halim Hafiz. "This CD had a lot of good songs that I had not heard in a long time. Definetly great for fanatics and lovers. I loved it."
Baladi Plus-Egyptian Dance Music. "This album sizzles with sexy beats from the master. This is a must for both performers and listeners if you adore the rhythmic drumming from north african traditions. Although slightly repetative, this CD is a much welcomed relief from the more subtle 'floaty' and unpunctuated belly dancing musical offerings."
Best Of Hossam Ramzy. "A good mix of styles in this album. It has music that will appeal to fans of middle eastern music as well as those who have never heard Egyptian music. Its worth a listen for those who want to broaden their musical horizons."
Best of Om Kolthoum. "Wonderful instrumental of Kulthum music."
Best of Saaidi/Baladi. "You can't sit still with this cd on! The master once again amazes me. I love it and highly recommend it to every one! Wonderful variety of sound, and strong good quality recording too. A++"
Egyptian Rai. "Despite its misleading title--London-based percussionist Hossam Ramzy here borrows beats from almost every Middle Eastern style except Algerian pop music--Egyptian Rai is a fascinating blend of Arab melodies filtered through Egyptian film-music orchestration. Call it syncretic belly-dance music for intellectuals."

Rhythms of the Nile. "You won't learn how to play the drums by listening to this, but you will learn to recognize the various rhythms in middle eastern music. Mr. Ramzy gives a nice explanation of the rhythm, plays it "vanilla" style, and then adds embellishments. The embellished bits are useful in dance routines as short drum solos."
Sabla Tolo-Journeys Into Pure. "45 minutes of intricate and ingenious pre-Islamic, Arabic, and world-beat-influenced solos and rhythms. With other percussion instruments supporting the darbouka, Ramzy creates a fresh, fertile crescent of sound stretching from the Nile to the Middle East, Morocco, and beyond." Secrets Of The Eye. "There is a wonderful variety of music on this CD and if you bellydance then it's packed with wonderful drum beats and great overall music. Nice just to listen to." Canadian funds: Secrets Of The Eye
Source of Fire. "Ramzy has extended the boundaries to include untraditional instrumentation and tunes. He's augmented his own outstanding percussion skills with a group of solid and imaginative musicians, and the results are nothing short of splendid. It's a good listening CD, but also great for dance students: the third track will help you learn to identify the most popular rhythmic patterns (it shifts from chiftitelli to beladi to masmoodi, with detours along the way), while the second-to-last starts out as a soulful taksim and segues into an earthy drum solo."
