zoby: im here bored doing this assignment all day. but i want to let you know . ususally i appreciate the finer more excusite things in life maybe thats where you come into the picture. i know im teasing you here but heeeey who knows what can happen.

ShanMonster: Fine. What is the difference between British and English words?

zoby: well british and american sorry

ShanMonster: Okay, then which word is British and which is American of these three: excusite, exquisite, and excuse?

zoby: mmm intresting i dont really know but i know thats the correct spelling. i assume u disagree

ShanMonster: "Excusite" is a correct spelling? The closest I can find in the Merriam-Webster dictionary is "excusat", which is Latin for "excuses."

zoby: you taught i was wrong ahhh

ShanMonster: I haven't taught it to anyone, yet.

zoby: exqusite is correct too ahhhh

ShanMonster: No, "exqusite" is not correct.

zoby: i think i read some material and they often spelt it that way. it was a journal british i think

ShanMonster: I would guess the copy editors didn't bother finishing grammar school.

zoby: well i dont know. u into grammar stuff ahh

ShanMonster: Yes, I am.

zoby: yea you teach

ShanMonster: I try, but certain people don't bother looking words up in dictionaries.

zoby: you like stuff like that ahhh

ShanMonster: Yes, I do. I love linguistics, words, grammar, and all that good, wordy stuff. Umm, why do you keep saying "ahhhh"? I am not a doctor with a tongue depressor.
