Generic Person With No Name: As long as there is no mention of my business name. Your "caveats" don't cover you against the potential defamation resulting from wrongfully including me in your "ICQverts" category. It implies I somehow engaged in "perverse" conversation which, of course, is untrue.

ShanMonster: Perhaps you should get a different ICQ nick for nonbusiness communiqués.

Generic Person With No Name: That's an unrelated point.

ShanMonster: If it's unrelated, how come you didn't want "_______" mentioned?

Generic Person With No Name: I'm not going to engage in any further silly, semantic discussion with you. See to it that there is no mention of my business name. End of discussion.

ShanMonster: I have one further question, first: Do you unplug your telephone when you're not at home?

Generic Person With No Name: That's absurd, and hardly the same thing.

ShanMonster: How is it any more absurd than turning off ICQ when I have a 24-hour connection and friends in very different time zones?

ShanMonster: For shame. You were decrying my supposedly rude behaviour earlier, and now you are engaging in something far more impolite. I did follow your request to strike your company's name from my site, even though there is no law which requires me to do so. I did it out of consideration for your feelings.

Generic Person With No Name: It was defamatory in it's inaccurate placement. I certainly hope you don't expect thanks for it.

ShanMonster: No, I don't expect any thanks from you. I rarely get thanks from people who accuse me of being a sociopath. In fact, I can't remember the last time I ever had thanks from someone who sent me hatemail or unfriendly ICQ messages. I don't think it's ever happened, and I don't expect you to set the precedent.
