He doesn't exactly look drop-dead gorgeous here, but note Christ's red contact lenses and intricately-detailed make-up job. It almost looks like real blood, doesn't it?

I think the red lipstick is a tad overdone, but that's a personal preference. Marilyn Manson got some of his makeup tricks from the big JC.
