Would you dress as Jesus for Hallowe'en, and if so, what would people's reactions be?

• A bit late I know, but concerning the "Jesus at Halloween" question. A couple of years ago I persuaded a Jesus-a-like friend to come to a Halloween fancy dress party with me as Jesus. He had a goaty beard at the time and long wavy hair and was the dead spit of our Lord Jeezuz. He came round to my house on the evening to get himself Jesused up. I had brought a whole load of sheets for him to wind himself up in for a tasteful toga typeeffect. Roland went into another room to change and returned wearing the tiniest home-made slave-boy thong and a crown-o-thorns. I was mortified, Roland isn't exactly svelt and the sight of "Our Lods" butt cheeks prominantly on display as he walked before me up the stairs to the house of the party is something which will traumatise me till my dying day!
  Incidentally I once attended an art college fancy dress ball where there were no less than three Gods and one of them was a lady. Also in attendance were the seven ages of Elvis - Man ! I thought I'd died and gone to heaven.

• I'm not sure whether I would myself, but I know it can be done effectively. A couple of years ago, I took second place at a local nightclub's Halloween costume contest, and guess who got first? The Goth One Himself. Of course, I think that what really made this particular interpretation work was the big cross he was carrying around with him, and his buddy who accompanied him in a devil outfit.... And it occurs to me, that this means I was beaten by Jesus, further demonstrating his fondness of S&M, domination-type activities.

• Actually, a few years ago my cousin was Jesus for Hallowe'en. He was lectured most of the night by people "Trying to save his soul from the blasphemous path he was following." What was interesting was that during the night in no way did he say and/or do anything to offend anyone! That is, unless they were offended by the thought that Jesus can disco...

• No I would not dress as Jesus for Halloweeen, but I have a friend who looks like Jesus and decided to get dressed up as a ghoul for halloween last year. (we were 21). It did not work, he looked to angelic! So people's reaction was generally 'What are you supposed to be?'.

• i know a kid who is jesus every year for halloween. he goes out trick or treating in the downtown area. almost no one gives him candy.
