Why won't people leave Jesus alone?
- Probably because everywhere you go, there's some MORON shoving him down your fucking throat. Maybe if
Jesus freaks left us alone, we'd leave them alone? You think? It just reminds me of what happened to me,
stay tuned, I'm about to ramble. I was coming out of the grocery store late one night. It was
raining, and stupid me forgot my umbrella. It was the night before Valentines day, and I went in to buy a
card. There was a "gentleman" standing outside. My, being sooo friendly and all, looked out at the
rain, saying darn, forgot my umbrella. He looked over at me and said, "Don't have your umbrella, young
lady? Well, come here, I've got a Valentines Present for you." He then pulled out a little revised
"bible" from his coat pocket. Looking at me he said, "Do you believe in the Lord? (not waiting on my
response) Of course you do. Come, pray with me." I looked at him like he'd just sprouted wings and a
tail. He didn't get the point. So I then chuckled. "What's funny? Did I tell a joke? Pray with me,"
he commanded. I continued to look at him. He then replied, "Fine. Give me back my bible and walk in the
rain." So, why won't people leave Jesus alone? Leave us ALONE and we will!!!!

- I guess Bernard Shaw would think that people won't leave Jesus alone because he's funny. i mean, follow the
weak Jesus and meek to inherit the earth?..he needed psychological help and perhaps someone didn't know
about not coveting neighbor's wife...bastard child...so sad...

Skunk
- I would leave him alone if he could stop these a--holes from waking me up early on weekends!

- Doesn't work both ways but the hypocritical christians do not understand that!! They claim that we
are constantly attacking Jesus yet they have no problem with constantly feeding me their line of
garbage about how I am a heathen and I need to change my ways in the name of God (Jesus). If
they love everyone so much then why have more people been murdered under the guise of
Christianity than any other single reason in the history of this world? We will leave your puny
God alone the day Christianity is seen for the farce it is.

- Because Jesus has a product that everyone wants. (salvation.)

Lorraine Quirke
- We're humans we natural milk things until there is nothing left. (see Anne Rices last book of The Vampire
Chronicles, Mtv, most of the world) If for no other reason he apparently did alot of stuff while he was
alive that made some kind of impact on people, religiously or otherwise.

- Oh good question...... Could it be that they borrow LOTS of Money in His name and can't pay It back?
Could it be that He is a really good way of scaring children and other simple minded folk into Submission?
Besides what would everyone do with those tacky hanging corpse figures of Him?
Would you really want Jesus to visit? AH JESUS!, Jesus you're dripping blood all over da missus's sofa
chair..Don't stand there.. Do ya want a beer?....Sorry, fresh out of wine and mhyrr. Easter egg? So,
what bring's you here? --JiMee
- Why WON'T people leave Jesus alone? A very good question. After all, he's been dead for almost 2000 years.
There's an old saying: Leave well enough alone. This is not the case with this Nazarene. One major reason
has to be that a huge number of faiths involve Jesus in some way, be he the central figure, the son of (the
supposed) God, or just a prophet. For all we know, he might just have been made up. Some long dead person
might have bet his friend 3 goats and a sheep that he could start up his own religion. Or the Bible might
just be some epic novel, used for the amusement of a circle of friends.
Anyway, as for why people won't leave the poor dead guy alone. It's
very simple, really. People like to have something to believe in. They
want to have a reason to continue on with this miserable exsitence we
call life. That is the entire purpose of religion. As for Christianity,
the reason we hear so much about it is because it is the primary faith
in North America. It came over with all the many Europeans from
centuries ago. If we lived in India, or some other country with a
different principle faith, I'm sure we wouldn't hear so much about Jesus
and Jehovah's Witness and Christianity.
Another reason we hear so much about Christianity is because so much of
daily life is based on it. Our calander is based on the date of Jesus'
birth year. And two of the most commercialized holidays of the year,
Christmas and Easter, directly relate to important events in Jesus'
life.
Actually, according to this one page(I think it was The Bastard Son of
The Lord page at www.trog.com/jesus/. I can't get to it anymore) I've
found, starring Jesus in the modern-day world, that Jesus hates
Christmas, because everyone gets presnts except him. Also Jesus
basically says in it thatthe Bible is incrediblely outdated, and just
about everything is okay to do now.
Actually, if you look at the points presented on this page (which
should probably be retitled Jesus Was More Gothic Than You, for
grammatical reasons. Okay, maybe Gother sounds like a little burrowing
mammal too) Jesus sounds like a cool guy. Hanging out with the dead,
sleeping in tombs, starting his own religion praising him (a little bit
of an ego here?)... --Morphyus
- As a friend of mine is so fond of saying: YOUR GOD IS DEAD AND NO ONE CARES! IF THERE'S A HELL I'LL SEE
YOU THERE!!!
--JoJo
- If people left jesus alone, then who would we style our "Oh so goth" suffering after?? Makes sense
now...I think.
--Clove
- People need Jesus. They need him to feel like their lives are worth a damn. Jesus gives them sanctuary
from all of their evil thoughts and guilt. It gives people something to believe in, and thats what people
need because they dont believe in themselves.
