Did Mary approve of Jesus being goth? Why or why not?
- We combined forces with a couple of other labels. about the question Mary had no choice I mean what you gonna
tell the SON OF GOD NO ! I don't think making Christ upset is a smart thing! But then you also have the argument that
God gave her motherly rights but that is along story!

- Who is Mary? Is it is mother? I have a friend who is a goth. His mother hates him. Well....not really. But she
hates goths. Haha, crazy goths. Always being abused.

- I'd always wondered whether Eve would have a naval, since she wasn't born of woman...so seeing a similar question
on your site intrigued me. Jesus was born of woman, but supposedly not impregnated by a man...a fact that wasn't
decided upon until the Second Eccumenical Council hosted by the ever popular Emperor Constantine himself. I just have
to wonder how much ribbing Mary got when she started to show and all her friends just rolled their eyes when she said
she hadn't even had sex with a man yet. And can you imagine how she must have felt when he grew up? She was a Jewish
mother, for Christs' sake! (In a Jewish mother voice) "My son, the savior, he can walk on water but can't even visit
his own muther! And who are all these boys he goes around with anyway?"

- I don't think so. The only time she showed up in his adult life was when he died. Must have been embarassed that
her son was a Goth instead of becoming a carpenter or scholar or whatever the hell he was going to be. And apparently
he didn't take to well to her snubbing since he said, "Who is my mother?" Sheesh. Talk about your dysfunctional
families.

- I just wanted to let you know that Jesus Loves you and that I'll be praying for you. Eternity awaits. I hope to
see you in heaven. God Bless
--Pesto
(Hmm. Pesto likes to answer my questions. Sorta. I kinda wonder about the "Eternity awaits" line. It almost
sounds like a slogan for a cruise line, or the title of a romance.)
- Mary was a hip hip lady. Jesus' dad, god, was always saying how flowering plants were your meat. What is
cannibas? A flowering plant. Those biblical people were SMOKING weed like crazy. Mary was smoking little christ out
at a very young age . Why else would people see him walk on water? They were all high. She probably didn't care that
he was goth because she was too stoned.

- first i dont think jesus was as goth as you make him out to be, with that in mind i do think mary approved of
jesus' "gothness". why? because jesus was a sinless man therefore nothing he did was wrong, and his mother also being
sinless new that her son jesus was god the whole time, so she had great devotion to him. so anyway since jesus did
nothing wrong...how could mary say that her god was wrong?
--BroFrancis
- Mary heartily approved of Jesus' gothnicity:
Not ONCE in the Bible is she ever quoted as telling him to get his hair cut.
Pretention/stagecraft is necessary for success when you're a career philosopher.
She could write off his spending so much time with James the Younger as just "playing bi to be trendy," and his
girlfriend Mary Magdalene's extremes as "she's just going through a phase."
When Jesus was crucified, did she accuse him of embarrassing her? No - she ATTENDED the event!
--Columbine
- I just asked my co-worker here, and we belive Mary definitely approved of his Goth-ness, because of the sheer joy
and happiness it brought him.
