Tit For Tat
I have a whole lot of junk I want to get rid of, either by selling it or trading it away for something I'd rather own. If you're interested in anything in this list, or suspect I may own something not listed (quite possible! I'm a packrat!), let me know!
I hope these lists shall change quite regularly. And now, on with the fun!
What I've Got
- A whole wack of brand-new, horrible 80s costume jewellery (mostly earrings). Maybe they can be scavenged for art projects, or
for their findings.
- Plenty of small fancy fabric scraps suitable for piecework and appliqué
- The Crow TBP in excellent condition
- A bunch of The Nightmare Before Christmas poster books
- Nail polish in a wide assortment of colours
- A wide assortment of fantasy and science fiction paperbacks
- Long black hair and blond hair. I know people use this for various odd craft projects. My hair is well over two feet long, and
I shed all the time. f00's hair is over a foot long, and he sheds, too. If you want our hairballs, I can nab 'em for you!
- Plenty of goth and industrial CDs from the late 80s through to the mid-90s (here's a partial list:)
I can easily get other things, like pressed Eastern Canadian wildflowers, ferns, leaves, seeds, etc., depending on the season. I can also possibly get things like porcupine quills, depending on the roadkill pickings....
What I Want
- Foreign coins, especially ones with clasps soldered on. I can use this stuff for my dance costuming. No stamped aluminum coins,
please. I want real coins.
- Catholic/holy medals. I want to use them to do a strange dance costume. Picture a Pope/Mother Theresa/Saint Lucia bedleh!
Scared? I know I am.
- Ankhs! The more, the merrier. I want to absolutely cover a costume with them, but I don't know if I can get enough.
- Unusual vintage beads, trims, and textiles for more costuming. Again, I prefer stuff from the Middle East, India, and North
Africa, but other regions are cool, too.
- Assuit (ooh, gimme, gimme!)
- Middle Eastern dance costumes
- Teeth. I'd like human ones, but animal ones are fine, too. They have to be clean, though.
