statuary, woodcuts, and paintings are very helpful.

- Summers, Montague
- The History of Witchcraft and Demonology. Secaucus: Castle Books. 1992.
- Good for university students on up.
- Although Summers was a very educated man, he appeared to hold little skepticism for the alleged crimes of
accused witches. This is not a good introduction to the history of witchcraft, but does contain
many intriguing descriptions of witchcraft. Be prepared to do a lot of rereading. The meaning of
passages is sometimes quite elusive.
