Jean, Instructor of Inquisitor of Arras

The Dominican friar Jean was deputy to the Bishop of Arras, instructor of the Inquisitor of Arras, and the bishop of Beirut. In 1459, Jean worked in conjunction with Jacques du Boys, Dean of the general chapter of the Order of Preachers. Jean believed an insidious and diabolical conspiracy was taking place within the Church (King 72, 73).
