John Stearne, English Witch-Finder

John Stearne was a witch-hunter alongside Matthew Hopkins in England 1645-1646. At one point, he boasted "that he personally knew of 200 executions" (Catholic Encyclopedia - Witchcraft). The suspicion of fraud seems to have led to the end of his career (Levack 147, 164).
